Description
This is a view of trees atop a sand dune along Lake Michigan, This site is part of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. The preserve was authorized by Congress in 1966. The national lakeshore runs for nearly 25 miles along the southern shore of Lake Michigan, in Beverly Shores, Indiana. Large sand dunes, which have taken thousands of years to form, tower nearly 200 feet above Lake Michigan.
This image is a photographic based black and white artwork with a hint of yellow added. I work with one of my photographs (sometimes more than one), using several professional digital tools in multiple steps, to create a one of a kind work of art. I call the outcome photographic art and am quite proud to include it in my gallery. Many of the photographs that I use in this process are also available in its original photographic form elsewhere in my gallery. Both these creative processes, photography and digital art, stimulate my passion and satisfy my need to create.

This is a lovely work, John, and so glad to see some of our Lake Michigan dunes captured, even IF on the Indiana side of the state line! :-) L/F
