Description
Although this reminds me of a scene out of Arabian Nights, this work is actually a take-off of the beautiful buildings on the University of Tampa in Florida. The University of Tampa's main building is called Plant Hall. It is heavily steeped in Moorish influences, and serves as a leading example of Moorish Revival architecture in the southeastern United States. Formerly the old Tampa Bay Hotel, Plant Hall is a National Historic Landmark built in 1891 by Henry B. Plant.
This abstract is part of my digital art series. When creating digital art, I use a combination of several digital tools to create the desired output. It gives me great satisfaction to produce one of these artworks which would look wonderful in any home or office.

Amazing digital adaptation! The coloring's dynamic contrast is muted perfectly by the delicate floral scroll-work along the inside edges. Especially liked the dance of light and shadow in the fern-like scroll - felt like I was sneaking past the palace guards and taking a peek (smiles). Being able to use exiting Moorish architecture near you must have been a neat bonus, John. Very nice!
