Description
This image shows the walkway that goes onto the historic Chicago & North Western Railroad Bridge in Nebraska. The bridge was built in 1929 to carry the Chicago and North Western Railroad across the Niobrara River immediately upstream from its confluence with the Missouri River. The bridge is now known as the Niobrara Hike/Bike Trail bridge and is part of Niobrara State Park, where it serves as a footbridge. The bridge is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

I love the metamorphosis! Instead of letting the old train bridge just fall to ruins, the powers that be made it into a walk/hike/bike trail for everybody to use. And, BTW, lovely picture of it! l/f

John, there is a train trussel near me that is so much like this scene. The clouds and sky even look the same. Years ago I used to walk along it with friends. This is so nostalgic. F/L+p
