Description
This is a photographic art scene of one of the more famous sights in Yellowstone National Park, Old Faithful. It received its name from members of the Washburn Expedition in 1870 and it was the first of the Yellowstone geysers to be named. Interestingly it is not the biggest geyser nor the most regular geyser. However it is the biggest geyser that has a regular interval between eruptions. Old Faithful erupts more frequently than any of the other big geysers. Per the National Park Service, its average interval between eruptions varies from 60 - 110 minutes. An eruption lasts 1 1/2 to 5 minutes, expels 3,700 - 8,400 gallons (14,000 - 32,000 liters) of boiling water, and reaches heights of 106 - 184 feet (30 - 55m).
This image is specially formatted to not show the outside border when used on all products other than wall hangings. The outside border area will reflect the same color as the product it is used with. The outside border color will be as shown when used as a wall hanging (prints, canvas, etc.).
