Description
The Grand Canyon is 277 miles long, gets up to 18 miles in width and reaches depths of over a mile. It is hard to believe it is carved out by the Colorado River. It appears to contain its own mountain range.
This photographic based artwork is an unique creation. I work with one of my photographs (sometimes more than one), using several professional digital tools in multiple steps, to create a one of a kind work of art. I call the outcome photographic art and am quite proud to include it in my gallery. Many of the photographs that I use in this process are also available in its original photographic form elsewhere in my gallery. Both these creative processes, photography and digital art, stimulate my passion and satisfy my need to create.

Truly, John, this is one of the best pictures of the Grand Canyon's layers and colors I've seen! l/f/t

Such a stunning unique place. You've done it justice with your beautiful 'sweeping' photographs. Congratulations

A terrific shot of this iconic place! Our eldest daughter and her husband went there for their honeymoon and cannot speak highly enough of it.

In this one image, I can pick out Vishnu Temple, Wotan’s Throne, Angels Gate, Zoroaster Temple, and distant Isis Temple. Yet we artists can only capture a small fraction, a facet of this Grandest of canyons at a time....Fav / like
