Description
As if Lake Superior is not an amazing wonder in and of itself, there is a 15 mile stretch of coastline northeast of Munising, Michigan, called Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It hugs the south shore of Lake Superior in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. This first major landmark on the Pictured Rocks tour is Miners Rock, now with only one turret on top. During the spring of 2006, one of the two turrets at the time fell into the lake. Nature never takes a day off. The U.S. Congress made Pictured Rocks the first officially designated National Lakeshore in the United States in 1966.

I love your images from Michigan, John, being a Michigan girl myself - this is wonderful! L/F
