Description
This photographic art image is of The Desert View Watchtower standing on the southern rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. The tower, which serves as a gift shop and canyon viewing area, was built in 1932. It was designed by Mary Colter and aimed to capture the architecture and culture of Southwestern Native Americans. Visitors to the canyon are treated to a spectacular view from the top of the tower.
My photographic based artwork is an unique creation. I work with one of my photographs (sometimes more than one), using several professional digital tools in multiple steps, to create a one of a kind work of art. I call the outcome photographic art and am quite proud to include it in my gallery. Many of the photographs that I use in this process are also available in its original photographic form elsewhere in my gallery. Both these creative processes, photography and digital art, stimulate my passion and satisfy my need to create.
