Description
This image shows the old and new Seven Mile Bridges in the Florida Keys. The closest bridge is the newer version which connect Marathon Key to Bahia Honda Key and is part of the Overseas Highway connecting the Florida mainland to Key West. The bridge behind it is the original. The original Seven Mile Bridge is a converted railroad bridge after converted after the railroad ceased in 1935. The handrails are the original train track rails that were laid on the bridge when it was part of the Overseas Railroad. A section of the bridge is still open for bicyclists and walkers. It is a 1.2 mile walk on this link between Maraton and Cabbage Key. Evening is a popular time for getting out.
This image is part of my photographic art series. I use several digital tools working off of one of my photographs to get the desired results. It gives me great satisfaction to produce one of these artworks.
