Description
The St. Johns Episcopal Church was built in 1852 served as a hospital and barracks during the Civil War. It sufferred considerable damage in the war and was destroyed. The church was rebuilt after the war but abandoned in 1895 when a new church was built in the upper town of Harpers Ferry.
