Description

Dramatic clouds and a restless sea highlight another side of the beauty of the Caribbean in counterpoint to the expected and iconic idyllic tropical scene. As can be seen by the cruise ships in the background, Mahahual Beach beach is just a short distance from the cruise ship port in Costa Maya, Mexico, in the eastern Yucatán Peninsula. Stormy weather has deposited quite a bit of seaweed on the beach.
