This Mount Rushmore abstract is a digital woodburning of the famous monument. The Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota features the images of presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. They are carved in the face of Mount Rushmore, part of the Black Hills. The flags of the 56 states and territories fly below the memorial. The creation of the monumental was done under the direction of Sculptor Gutzon Borglum. Borglum died before the project was completed which is why the sculpture of Abraham Lincoln was never finished.
This abstract image is specially formatted to not show the outside border when used on all products other than wall hangings. The outside border area will reflect the same color as the product it is used with. The outside border color will be as shown when used as a wall hanging (prints, canvas, etc.).
This artwork is part of my digital woodburning series.

Welcome to the Touching Light Photography and Digital Art Galleries. In these galleries you will find an ever growing portfolio of high quality images and art of places I've been privileged to visit across the U.S. and from around Florida where I have been blessed to live. I have always enjoyed the challenge of capturing what I see and feel. After retiring from a career in Aerospace I have been able to devote myself to so many different aspects of photography and photographic art. The process of discovering, capturing and sharing the results with you has been great fun. I am very active on social media. Please visit and "Like" my Facebook page, JB Face Book.
