Description
St. Mary Lake is located in the east side of Glacier National Park along the Going-to-the-Sun Road. It is the 2nd largest lake in Glacier NP. Per Wikipedia, the lake is 9.9 miles (15.9 km) long and 300 feet (91 m) deep. The waters of the lake rarely rise above 50 °F (10 °C) and are home to various species of trout. During the winter, the lake is often completely frozen over with ice up to 4 feet (1.2 m) thick.
This artwork is an unique creation using a process to produce what I call photographic art. I work with one of my photographs (sometimes more than one), using several professional digital tools in multiple steps, to create a one of a kind work of art. I call the outcome photographic art and am quite proud to include it in my gallery. Many of the photographs that I use in this process are also available in its original photographic form elsewhere in my gallery. Both these creative processes, photography and digital art, stimulate my passion and satisfy my need to create.
