Thomas Jefferson was an American Founding Father, the principal author of the Declaration of Independence, and the third President of the United States.
Mr. Jefferson is one of the four presidents enshrined at the Mount Rushmore National Monument. According to the U. S. National Park Service, Mount Rushmore National Memorial is visited by nearly three million people each year that come to marvel at the majestic beauty of the Black Hills of South Dakota and learn about the birth, growth, development and preservation of the country.
